In 1982, the Japanese fishing club's fishing rod and reel technology experts passed the contact of the foreign trade department, and the Weihai City Machinery Industry Bureau arranged the then Weihai Tianping Instrument Factory to carry out the task of production, research and development of the fishing reel. Beginning in June of that year, the Tianping Instrument Factory organized a six-person trial production team. Under the guidance of Ishii, a piece of machined parts was disassembled, and three samples that basically met the requirements were produced and opened for trial production. In 1983, Weihai Tianping Instrument Factory made China's first fishing reel with its own mold, and succeeded in small-scale production of domestic trial sales.
